Thought it fair that the yids went, my issues pretty much all lay with the scousers (Milner, Lallana and Henderson) and the ex scouser Sterling.

Someone who had a shit season and the other 3 in a team that struggled to come 8th and who have always failed to perform for England.

Oh well, until we get a manager who can see the obvious and picks on form and not because of who they play for, we'll just have to put up with average crap.

Re: Roy hodgson
yeah lets name 1 winger then play a 4-3-3 the whole tournament

3 wins from 10 tournament games for Woy now

Are the "experts" still saying Kane is fatigued? If so then why the fuck is he out there?

I think it's unavoidable. I think it would have been idiotic to not take Alli, Dier, Kane, Vardy etc and work around their inexperience at this level. In terms of experience, I suppose the players we're talking about to miss out are Carrick, Baines and Jagielka. I would have taken at least the first two of those, so that is a fair criticism of Hodgson I think. Baines' set-pieces would have made a massive difference as it's worked out.

>>> I'm glad you're happy with the 20 odd shots from 25 yards each game

We are taking some pot shots. But we lead the tournament on shots (per game) in the six yard box!

But. What if you need to win a game? Lets see.

Re: Roy hodgson
The most glaring thing is our lack of threat from wide areas. Both Alex and comma were banging on that our fullbacks provide the width, but you don't want your defenders being your best fucking attackers. It was so glaringly obvious what would happen when he named the squad, and it's panning out exactly how a few of us called it, we're too narrow and easy to defend against.

Re: Roy hodgson
The outfield players have 480 caps between them.

I know 110 of them are Roooney's, but that hardly makes the rest rookies.

I guarantee that another 480 caps between them still would make certain players any good.

Alex V - Don't you think it's a bit late in the day to be learning the ropes going into the knockout stages in a major tournament?

No one, not even Woy, knows who he's going to pick in midfield or up front, and everything he seems to be doing isn't working.

I'm glad you're happy with the 20 odd shots from 25 yards each game. It probably means I have a decent point if you disagree with it. Cheers.

We're one of the youngest squads in the competition with players with the fewest previous caps.

I'm so confident in Roy's ability that I told the missus this morning that after 14 years together, I'll propose if England win the tournament.

Cheers Roy son, love you for getting me another stay of execution x

I can't bear the thought of another two years of him in charge. But then he goes, Southgate comes in and are we any better off?

The best quote I've heard about "Old Woy" was his a ringer for Comical Ali. Delusional prick.

Re: Roy hodgson
That's bollocks though Alex.

Did you also think Bilic was inexperienced when we got him in as manager like some wally's did?

They've all played over 100 club games in their careers with the majority also playing in European competition.

You're either good enough for international football or you're not and our problem is that he's picked a good few who can't even justify getting a game for their clubs, let alone playing for England.

Alex V 11:40 Tue Jun 21
Re: Roy hodgson
Hodgson's squad is very inexperienced and learning the ropes - it's not an excuse, it's a plain fact.

Lee Trundle 11:02 Tue Jun 21
Re: Roy hodgson
I think Woy has reached his goal (the knockouts) which allows him more time in the job by the FA, I reckon.

We've limped through the groups, we'll more than likely squeeze through against someone crap like Hungry, and then we'll get walloped and sent home by France.

He can use the "evolving" squad (again) and playing one of the favourites on their home ground as excuses.

Re: Roy hodgson
England have been a snoozefest for years now. This is the first tournament though where I genuinely couldn't care if we get knocked out and something isn't right there, I usually love getting behind the England team but it's so difficult when we are so boring and I don't like half the players.

Woy needs to go once we get knocked out. No excuses.

This argument of "oh we have played well so far" I just don't understand. We failed to beat Russia and Slovakia and literally with the last kick of the game scraped a win against Wales. Not winning this group alone should be enough for Woy to go.

Henderson only looks any good chasing his own mistakes

Did he improve after 70-minutes, because I gave up watching and went in the garden to get the cat in and then went to bed

Re: Roy hodgson
The bloke is totally clueless & has no idea how to play attacking football

You can play 5 strikers, have 99% of possession & still create no goal threat whatsoever

We were poor in that respect both against Russia (by far the worst side in the tournament) & last night, despite many of the pundits declaring otherwise (unlucky ~ my arse!)

Against Wales we were very lucky to grab an undeserved winner (a draw would have been a fair result)

Carroll would have been a real threat against Russia & last night.

It is inconceivable that he wouldn't have put at least one of those corners away

I agree with Slaven, it's all one-two, one-two passes with no end product

Lallana & Henderson are a total waste of space & Delhi Alley is ridiculously over-rated (unless you're a spud fan)
